Former Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Rory Cowan has given his verdict on Conor McGregor’s pub in Dublin.

The 62-year-old paid a visit to The Black Forge Inn on the Drimnagh Road in Crumlin, which is owned by the UFC star.

The Notorious bought the pub last year for a rumoured €1.9 million and spent a further €1 million refurbishing the Dublin 12 joint.

The pub has been a popular spot since its grand opening over the August Bank Holiday weekend, with Irish entertainer Rory Cowan being the latest name to drop in for a pint.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Rory said: “I just dropped into the Black Forge pub for some food and pints. It’s lovely here and not far from where I live.

“I’m going to have a shot or two of Proper Twelve while I’m here. It’s lovely with Ginger Ale.

“Fabulous bar and restaurant,” he added.

The actor also shared a photo of himself standing in front of a brick wall with a design of McGregor’s Proper Twelve logo – a tiger wearing a crown – painted on as he held a bottle of the fighter’s whiskey.

McGregor may be attracting even more Irish celebrities to The Black Forge Inn too, as Rory’s post comes after the MMA champ invited RTÉ's Ryan Tubridy to interview his dad Tony at the Crumlin location.

The Notorious took to Instagram to share a snippet from an interview that his dad Tony did on Tubs’ RTÉ Radio show back in 2016, where he “emphasised the extent of Conor’s generosity and how he has changed their lives forever.”

Conor then called for the Late Late Show host to do a follow-up chat with his father in his newly refurbished bar.

“Top man Ryan Tubridy, interview him now in the Black Forge Inn,” he said.
