Brendan O’Carroll has told reality TV bosses to feck off.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys star keeps getting offered big-money deals to do wacky shows but he isn’t interested.
He said: “I get asked to do those shows all the time… f*** yeah. Jesus. But I say no to them all.
“You get some really weird ones. Sometimes people pitch me a reality show and they haven’t even got a broadcaster yet.
“They think getting me on board will help them get it commissioned. But I have to disappoint them.”
When Brendan gets asked to do reality TV, he doesn’t hold back: “With some of the offers, I’ve said, ‘Are you f***ing serious?’ I was asked to do a show for Irish TV where I’d get SAS-style training. You crawl through mud and stuff like that.
“I said, ‘You do know I’m f***ing 67? The last time I crawled through mud I was five years old. So f*** off!’”
Not even a well-paid stint on I’m A Celebrity appeals to Brendan: “I was once talking to a producer and he asked me if I’d thought about doing I’m A Celebrity and I said, ‘I would rather put a hot needle through the eye of my c**k than do that show’. So now they know not to ask!”
While Brendan has no interest in I'm A Celeb, former co-star Rory Cowan entertained the idea of appearing in the reality series for a while.
He previously said he'd been approached to do a few things including I'm A Celeb in 2019, but he soon found out he had Type 2 diabetes
He said when he returned from holiday and informed them, it ultimately saw him be ruled out of the show.
Rory said: "I have to watch what I eat. I have to eat at regular times, and I have to eat properly," but he added he would've considered signing up for the gig if he had been able to.
