The actor, who plays Dermot Brown on the sitcom, said: 'They weren’t fazed by it at all and I thought they might be with the cameras, lights and the audience'
Paddy Houlihan said his seven-year-old twin girls, Darcy and Bonnie, are growing up so fast after they starred on Mrs. Brown's Boys on Christmas Day.
The actor, who plays Dermot Brown on the sitcom, said that the duo took to TV like two little ducks to water.
However, Paddy added that working with your kids has its downsides too because he was trying to keep them entertained both on set and when they finished work for the day.
Paddy told RSVP Magazine: "They are in first class now and they made their debut in Mrs Brown’s Boys on Christmas Day.
"They are growing up so fast and their attitude is changing. They will be two divas by the time they are finished!"
He added: "Work wise, they loved it and they took to it like two little ducks to water. They weren’t fazed by it at all and I thought they might be with the cameras, lights and the audience.
"I was waiting to see if one of them would refuse to speak. But they got stuck in as soon as they arrived and they were dying to perform.
"Brendan O’Carroll and the director were brilliant with them, but I was still a nervous parent.
"They taught their father a few tricks too, let me tell you!"

Not everyone gets to work with their kids in a capacity like TV and, for Paddy, it was all about balance.
He said: "Filming the show in Glasgow is usually like a break away from home. It is like a 9-5 schedule and you have the evenings to yourself.
"Having the two of them with you means you are together all day every day.
"You bring them to work, you come home and they are there and then you are trying to keep them entertained because you don’t want them to be bored."
As twins, if one of them got shy or upset, would the other one follow suit? Paddy said: "They are out of that now, but they have an incredible rapport with each other and they can tell what the other one is thinking.
"If one is having a wobble, the other would be quick to whisper in their ear.
"They are great friends and you wouldn’t want to cross one because you would have two of them on your back!"
