Mrs Brown’s girls: ‘Our love for each other will never change’

 The stars of Mrs Brown’s Boys tell Andrea Smith about the challenges and joys of family life and relationships

While she has been “blessed” with two sons and three grandsons, actress Eilish O’Carroll regards her niece — and co-star on Mrs Brown’s Boys — Fiona O’Carroll as the nearest thing to a daughter. “I love Fiona to bits,” she says. “We have so much fun together and the banter between us is great.”

Fiona has always looked up to her aunt and feels she is a younger version of Eilish in many ways. “Eilish was one of the first people to educate me about self-awareness,” she says. “I learnt about taking ownership of your flaws and owning your truth from her. She has definitely taught me to be a better person.”
