The pandemic postponed the stage tour of the show for the last two years and Eilish is ready to get back on the road.

She said: "The tour is back starting on the 6th of June.

"We have a six week intensive tour but I am looking forward to it.

"It'll be nice to put the rollers back in and my scarf on my head."

The show is set to be back for its usual Christmas special but recently there have been rumours that there will be more episodes made.

Eilish couldn't tell if the rumours are true.

She said: "That's confirmed, there's going to be a Mrs Brown's Christmas special and there might be, one doesn't know...

"There's mumblings of another four episodes of Mrs Brown's Boys itself but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

"Again if it happens I'll get very excited about it and if it doesn't happen I won't be upset."

Eilish appeared on Ireland AM alongside pal X Factor star Mary Byrne.

The 69-year-old told how she was always grateful to be part of the Mrs Brown's Boys tour and is delighted to back on stage with Mary.

She said: "I loved every minute of it because I kept thinking this will be the last time, this will be the last tour, this can't go on.

"People might have thought that's being negative, it wasn't. I was being a realist.

"I thought, 'Just enjoy every minute of this because if it ends tomorrow, they can't take it away from you'.

"I'm blessed and we are both blessed that we are still doing what we love to do, what we were born to do."
