Mrs. Brown's Boys spin-off show All Round to Mrs. Brown's looks set to be shelved once again.

The popular comedy chat show, created and hosted by comedian and writer Brendan O'Carroll, didn't air in 2021 due to logistics around the Covid-19 pandemic.

And Brendan has revealed that there are no plans to bring back the series this year, again due to the logistics surrounding life post-lockdown.

The series is filmed in BBC Glasgow and that means that the A-list names featured on the show would need to jet to Scotland to appear on set.

Brendan told RSVP Magazine: "The problem with our show is that we record it in Glasgow. If you’re recording it in London, you might get someone on a book tour or press tour because they are staying in London.

"But to get them to Glasgow, we have to fly them up, get them overnight and bring them back again. And people don’t often have that in the schedule, particularly in these times with Covid-19."

Over the years, Brendan and his cast have interviewed Caitlyn Jenner, Westlife, Paddy McGuinness, Olly Murs, Lorraine Kelly, Freddie Flintoff, Jerry Springer, Holly Willoughby and Teri Hatcher, among other big names.

Brendan added: "If we have someone in Glasgow, we had to them up the week before so they could quarantine. People couldn’t do that.

"When the pandemic ends, we will get a new lease of life and roll with it."

Brendan's wife and co-star Jenny Gibney appeared on the 2014 series of Strictly Come Dancing but neither of them would do any more reality TV shows, especially I'm a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here!

He said: "I think I was once quoted as saying 'Not if you put a hot needle through my penis would I do any of them'. I think that’s a no!"

While All Round to Mrs. Brown's won't air in 2022, a regular series Mrs. Brown's Boys is reportedly in the works.

It is believed that it will begin filming later this year.
