Mrs Brown’s Boys’ Danny O’Carroll gushes over wife Amanda on 14th wedding anniversary

Mrs Brown's Boys star Danny O'Carroll is still besotted by his stunning wife Amanda after 14 years of marriage, admitting she still gives him butterflies when she walks into a room

Danny O’Carroll says his wife Amanda still gives him butterflies after 14 years of marriage.

The actor, who plays Buster Brady on his Dad’s hit show Mrs Brown’s Boys, shared a gushing post dedicated to his stunning wife.

He wrote: “14 years married today and I still get butterflies every time I see you. Happy anniversary baby”.

Danny has previously admitted it was love at first sight when he and Amanda had a chance meeting in a Letterkenny bar all in 2006.

In fact, Danny had plans to move to America two weeks later, but he cancelled the trip and moved in with Amanda instead. They had their first son, Jamie, soon after and married the following year.

However now, Danny says he wouldn’t be very supportive if his sons Jamie or Blake tried to follow in his romantic footsteps.

He said: "I wouldn’t be raging at them but I would be like 'What are you after doing?'.

"For me, at the time, I didn’t feel young at all, I felt mature and I wanted to settle down. I guess I was right, look at us now”.

Danny’s famous Dad Brendan was shocked when he revealed his plans to propose so soon, and so young, but thankfully the O’Carroll family love Amanda.

He said: "I remember when I told him that I was after proposing to Amanda and he was a bit taken aback alright but they love her.

"Everybody loves Amanda and she is the best thing to ever happen to our family, Dad always says that.

"There was never any doubt and he didn’t have to have any big conversation with me about it to say that I was doing anything wrong, he was very happy with everything I did.

"I was always quite mature as well and I knew what I was doing."
