Mrs Brown's Boys star Danny O'Carroll's joy as he loses over a stone in just 37 days

The Dublin actor, best known for his role as Buster Brady on the hit BBC comedy Mrs Brown's Boys, tells RSVP Live how simple lifestyle changes kickstarted his weight loss journey

Danny made changes to his diet after he fell into bad eating habits, but says he doesn’t deprive himself of treats either.

“I was a big night-time eater, eating absolute sh**e at night-time,” he says.

“So I started buying these meals from this personal trainer Andy Malone - spicy chicken and sweet potato wedges, chicken curries, Thai green curries, all really nice stuff. So I eat three of them a day and I might have a protein yoghurt if I’m hungry.”

Admitting that he made no drastic changes to his life in order to lose weight, Danny continues: “I’ve really just changed my routine around. I try to get to bed early, get up early, and I cut out drink.

“I may have a blip when the kids get pizza and I have a slice, but I just log the calories in MyFitnessPal. If I want a KFC, I’ll treat myself to a KFC.”

Danny got a huge response on social media this week when he shared a picture of his weight loss results so far.

“Lost over a stone in 37 days. I’m f***ing delighted, and on we go,” he wrote on Twitter.

One proud follower wrote: “Nice one! Keep up the hard work!”

“Class Danny lad, well done,” added a second.

While a third fan gushed: “Wow a whole stone, fantastic job Danny. Keep going!”
