Danny O'Carroll has shared a sweet snap of himself and son Blake to mark his birthday.

The Mrs Brown's Boys actor shared a picture of a loving father-son moment on his Twitter to wish his boy a happy 9th birthday.

Danny wrote: "Blake’s 9th Birthday today. Where’s my little boy gone."

Fans in their droves rushed to wish the Dublin actor's son their best wishes.

One wrote: "I feel like that with my boy. Happy birthday young man."

"Happy birthday to your boy Blake, they grow up so fast," added a second.

Blake recently made his debut on the hit BBC comedy alongside his family for their New Year's special.

Danny's other son, Jamie, is already a regular on the show and the proud dad told of how Blake wanted to appear on it for ages.

Previously speaking to Metro, Danny said: "I felt bad for a while actually because he begged and begged for years and years to be on it."

"His older brother plays Bono on the show as well, Mrs Brown’s grandson, he’s his older brother," added Danny.

"So he always sees his older brother on there, he always sees me on there, his mam plays Betty on the show, so he’s always saying “when am I going to get a go?” So this year, finally grandad [Brendan O'Carroll] gave him his wish and let him have a go."
