The cast of Mrs Brown's Boys made the dreams of one superfan from East Belfast come true after meeting with him after their live show in Belfast.

Aaron Boyd from East Belfast is one of Mrs Brown's Boys biggest fans after falling in love with the show while watching it with his family.

The 20-year-old with Downs Syndrome enjoys the show so much that last year he asked for a special costume for Christmas so that he would be able to dress up as Mrs Brown and when his family got tickets for the live show in Belfast on Friday, November 4, he knew exactly what he was going to wear on the day.

Prior to the show starting he walked amongst the crowd taking pictures with those in attendance and after a fun filled evening of laughs, he waited at the rear of the SSE Arena in the hopes of meeting some of his heroes who were more than happy to make their superfans "dreams come true".

Speaking to Belfast Live, his mum Lisa Boyd said: "Aaron has been a huge fan of Mrs Brown's Boys for years and loves nothing more than sitting down with us and watching it.

"At first I think he just enjoyed seeing everyone laughing and enjoying themselves and now he is one of their biggest fans.

"Last Christmas he asked for a Mrs Brown costume and he loves dressing up as her and seeing the reactions that he gets from people and he always enjoys making people smile.

"When we saw that the live show was coming to Belfast we knew that we had to take him along and he was determined to go dressed as Mrs Brown.

"Before the show he had a great time taking pictures with people and afterwards we met with Jonathan Walker from Four G Ltd, a support group that he attends, who suggested that we wait at the back gate for a bit to see if we could spot some of the cast.

"Once Aaron knew what we were doing there was no way that he was moving on without seeing them and after a few minutes Danny O'Carroll had stopped his car and came running over to see us saying that Aaron was class!

"Then before we knew it Brendan and the rest of the cast had come out to meet Aaron and take pictures with us all.

"The impact that this has had on Aaron cannot be understated, he is still so excited that he was able to meet his heroes who were all so brilliant and lovely with him.

"They didn't have to do any of this but the fact that they took the time to speak with Aaron and show him such kindness really means the world to us all and I would just like to say thank you to all of them for making my son's dreams come true."
