Danny tagged the official Mrs Brown's Boys Instagram account as well as BBC. He shared that the team were 'speed reading,' for the '#christmas #special.'

The O'Carroll siblings echoed each other later on Wednesday, with both sharing similar snaps to their story as they returned to the iconic Foley's Bar.

Fiona captioned the selfie, she said: 'Back at Foley's Bar today.'

Noting that her two castmates were in striped jumpers, Fiona added that she 'didn't get the Stripey jumper memo.'

Similarly, Danny uploaded a snap from the counter at Foley's Bar, along with Paddy Houlihan and Pat Shields who play onscreen brothers Dermot and Mark.

During the lengthy hiatus Agnes Brown and the family have made frequent appearances in our lives -- there's been a movie; theatre tours; a musical; Christmas speicals; and a talk show.

In August confirmed they would be filming the first of a mini-series of four episodes -- with the other three early next year.

As well as filming the team have a live show coming up in November at Belfast's SSE Arena and the 3Arena Dublin.

Fiona confirmed that the cast were supposed to do a mini-series in 2022, but 'due to various reasons it didn't happen.'
