Fiona O'Carroll breaks down on Ultimate Hell Week

Mrs Brown's Boys star Fiona O'Carroll broke down in tears during tonight's episode of Ultimate Hell Week: The Professionals after struggling with the pressure.

The actress got emotional as she opened up about her separation from her husband Martin Delany and what it has taught her.

"I've learned in the last three years that [emotions are like buses]," she said.

"I’m trying to go with it, since my separation.

"I would consider myself a strong woman now. There was a time I didn’t.

"I used to see crying as a weakness, I don’t anymore. It’s a release."

Fiona, who is a mum of four boys, was also upset about missing her son's birthday because of the show.

"I’ve never missed any of my son’s birthdays," she said.

"It felt very selfish, being here and not being at home with him. That’s that whole inner chat. Sometimes you need to be selfish because it’s important, this is something that you need to do."

Fiona, who plays Agnes' daughter-in-law on Mrs Brown's Boys, was married to Martin for fifteen years before they announced their separation.

The couple first met when they were just 16 years old, and went on to tie the knot in 2016.

Fiona shared they grew apart as they both wanted different things, but they still have love for each other. Martin now lives in Portugal and Fiona lives in Ashbourne, Co. Meath with their sons, but he stays with them when he is in Ireland.

She told RSVP Live: "I am blessed to have an ex-husband who I get on very well with and we co-parent very well together too. We always put the kids first."
