Mrs Brown’s Boys star Fiona O’Carroll reveals shock new TV role

 MRS Brown's Boys star Fiona O'Carroll has revealed that she has landed a shocking new TV role in Celebrity Ultimate Hell Week.


The actor, who is known for playing Maria Brown on the hit BBC sitcom, told today how she has been "bursting" to tell everyone the news.

She'll take on the gruelling challenge which has seen participants jump off bridges, out of planes and crawling through mud in the past.

Taking to Instagram today, Fiona shared a snap of some of her fellow co-stars.

She said: "I’ve been bursting to tell everyone for so long! I still can’t believe that I did it.

"It was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced but wow!! Celebrity Special Forces Ultimate Hell Week…What an experience!!

"And I cannot speak any higher about my fellow recruits.

"Legends all of you and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to share it with all of you. Starts 7th Sep RTE1."

Fiona will be joined on the line-up with social media star Tadhg Fleming, Former Fair City star Johnny Ward, presenter Blaithnaid Treacy and many more familiar faces.

RTE chiefs have revealed a feast of top telly making its way to screen this winter - with a new series about Brian Dowling and husband Arthur Gourounlian's baby journey among its offerings.

The broadcaster took over the RDS today to launch their new shows which they say "celebrate Irish culture, creativity and Irish talent".

RTE is promising over 40 hours of new Irish drama - including the return of its hit drama series, Kin and also Smother, as well as brand-new shows, North Sea Connection, Sister, The Dry and Clean Sweep.

Dancing With The Stars will once again brighten up winter Sunday nights. With Nicky Byrne departing as he's back on tour with Westlife, the station will be revealing a brand new co-presenter.

The Late Late Show will also return with competition from Tommy
Tiernan Show and Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything.

A Very Modern Irish Family – Brian and Arthur’s Surrogacy Story will feature Big Brother star Brian Dowling and husband Arthur Gourounlian as they prepare for a baby.

The show follows the couple and Brian’s little sister Aoife, who is acting as their surrogate, as they prepare to welcome a much-wanted tot.

The series follows the highs and lows of their journey, from glitzy baby showers and shopping trips to the harsh realities that in Ireland there is no legislation for surrogacy.

The Kinsellas will be back on TV too with a second season of Kin.
