Brendon O'Carroll is best known for portraying his character Agnes Brown on the hit BBC sitcom, Mrs Brown's Boys.

Before he became known for this particular role, Brendon started his career guest appearing on comedy shows such as The Late, Late Show, as well as performing on stage to the play based on his own work for which he is now famous, Mrs Brown's Boys.

It was also during this time that he'd finally taken the plunge to start his own theatre production company.

All of this paid off for the 66-year-old comic, who was eventually approached to have his plays adapted for TV.

His long-running show has been airing since 2011 and was even turned into a film.

Brendon has an impressive net worth which was last calculated back in 2013 and is around €11 million (£9 million), according to The Irish Mirror.

Who are Brendon's wife and kids?

Brendon's first wife was Doreen O'Carroll, to whom he was married from 1977 to 1999.

He later re-married to his co-star wife Jennifer Gibney, with whom he has been since 2005.

The star's wife appears in his show as the daughter of Agnes Brown.

However, his wife isn't the only person close to him who is involved in his work.

His son Danny and his daughter Fiona also have roles and appeared on numerous episodes of Mrs Brown's Boys.

Danny plays Buster Brady, Dermot Brown's best friend and Best Man at his wedding. Since 2007, Danny has been married to fellow Mrs Brown's Boys star Amanda Woods, who plays Betty Brown.

Fiona plays Maria Brown, Dermot's wife. She is also married to a co-star - Martin Delany.
