Mrs. Brown's Boys' Gary Hollywood poses with wife Cherylanne and kids

It has been a tough year for the Scottish actor after tragic death of his brother back in May as well as leaving the popular Dublin based sitcom

Mrs. Brown's Boys' Gary Hollywood didn't let his personal woes get in the way of enjoying Christmas this year.

The actor, who is best known for his role as Dino Doyle on the Dublin based sitcom, posed with wife Cherylanne McCutcheon in front of a massive Christmas tree outdoors.

The couple were also joined by their son Ollie, who was born right at the beginning of lockdown earlier this year.

Sharing the family snap, Gary said: "Merry Christmas to one and all.

"And to the loved ones we have lost, forever in our hearts."

It has been a tough year for Gary after tragic death of his brother back in May.

His older brother Gerard died after he suffered two heart attacks, just two months after baby Ollie came into the world.

Gary also left Mrs. Brown's Boys after years playing his famous character and he is now involved in a legal battle with the show.

The Scottish star is taking legal action against the BBC for ‘workplace discrimination’ because feels he was not "paid equally" for his time on the show.

He told The Daily Star: “I feel I wasn’t being paid equally and I wasn’t being given an explanation for decisions.

"When I tried to resolve it, nothing was done. I was just disregarded. But I won’t put up with it any more. I won’t be treated like that. This has gone too far. They shouldn’t do this to people.

“I am taking legal action. The papers have been lodged for a tribunal and the process has now started."

As well as baby Ollie, Gary also has three children, Jack, Zach and Charlie, from his first marriage with Sharon Mudie and another previous romance.
