Mrs Brown's Boys quitter Gary Hollywood has put up his Christmas tree early to cheer himself up.
The actor, 41, who has played gay hairdresser Dino Doyle on the BBC sitcom since 2011, walked out last month.
He was caught up in a row about pay and was not happy that his role in the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special starring Brendan O'Carroll had been cut down.
Now he has decided to brighten his mood following a terrible year.
Gary, who is married with a baby son, revealed: "I put my tree up this week. It's been a damper of a year and I thought I will escape all this madness and just get the tree up.
"I have got everything up. It's like a Santa's grotto. I have even sorted out the menu for Christmas Day and got all the alcohol in.”
Mrs Browns Boys has been enjoying a steady rise in success each year, with the series scooping up an NTA for Best Comedy back in January.
The show was up against tough competition, with Ricky Gervais' After Life and Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag competing in the same category.

Proving a gracious winner, the show's star Brendan O'Carroll praised his rivals in his acceptance speech, taking to the stage with his award.
"So many wonderful, wonderful stars,” he said.
"To be in such a category with Derry Girls, Sex Education, the beautifully written and wonderfully performed After Life…
"Ricky, I think it's one of the best things I've ever seen. Ricky, you're fantastic. It's amazing.”
Comedian Ricky later shared a message of congratulations on Twitter, saying: “What a f***ing bunch of losers. Congratulations to Mrs Brown’s Boys. Democracy always wins.
“Be nice in defeat and know that you are still the best fans in the world. Thanks to everyone who voted.”
