The TV and theatre star explained a conversation that took place between him and a worker in Dunnes Stores when he went to purchase some fly killer spray, before bursting into laughter.

Rory says in the video: "Howaya. Another beautiful day in Dublin!

"Listen, I was in town earlier, I was in Dunnes. And I picked up this fly killer. I said to the young fella who was packing the shelves, 'Is this any good for wasps?',  'No,' he said, 'It kills them!'

"I love Dublin," Rory said through laughs.

The Dubliner's friends and followers reacted to the video and thanked him for cheering them up.

Glenda Gilson wrote: "You make me laugh Rory," while FM104's Crossy said: "Ah that is brilliant," followed by a series of laughing emojis.

"You crack me up Rory, I can’t stop watching this. Just showed it to my hubby and daughter and they are creased," penned a loyal fan.

"Still laughing now, thanks for cheering me up," a second gushed.

While a third added: "Rory that is just so funny brilliant we all need a good old laugh these days. I used to work in Dunnes Stores miss the fun we used to have."

Rory's video has since gone viral as people can't get enough of his hilarious reaction.

Rory was best known for his role on Mrs Brown's Boys and fans were shocked when he decided to step back in 2017.

However, he has since appeared on RTE soap Fair City, playing the role of Bosco - whose mum Rose suffers from dementia.

The storyline was close to Rory's heart as his mum Esther sadly passed away from the disease in 2018.

A few months later, the popular actor did a number of interviews to try raise awareness about dementia, and said when he was offered the role of Bosco on Fair City he jumped at the opportunity.

"I said I would take it, I didn't know if my character was to have dementia or what it was," Rory previously revealed while appearing on The Six O'Clock Show.

"I thought Fair City doing this storyline is going to be much bigger than all the interviews I've been doing.

"And I'm so glad I said yes, it's a brilliant show to work on."
