Actor Brendan O’Carroll was live on BBC Breakfast this morning with his wife Jennifer Gibney and talking to hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty about working together as a married couple and what fans can look forward to this festive season. However, it was a very odd question from Naga which left Brendan taken aback and issuing a cheeky warning.

Charlie started the conversation saying: “I saw you on Mrs Brown’s boys and there is an element of chaos around there all the time, it always feels like there is.”

“Oh you never know what's gonna happen, you never know what's gonna come up," Jennifer responded.

Charlie said: “It’s part of the joy of the programme.”

But Brendan interrupted: “I think it's why we do it for the chaos, I have to tell you it's the most fun job I’ve ever had.”

It’s been confirmed Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special will air on the big day itself at 10.30pm on BBC One.

Fans can also look forward to a New Year’s special on January 1 at 10.30pm.

So fans can put those dates in their diary now and look forward to those in the post-Christmas lull.

However, it’s still unknown whether there is a new series coming any time soon.

Talking about their relationship, Charlie noted: “You were just saying, you two have been together for a long time.”

Jennifer said: “Yeah just over 20 years," before Brendan chipped in with “24 years".

The host went on: “Do you remember a time before Mrs Brown existed and can you remember the time you first saw Brendan as Mrs brown?”

She continued: “So the first time I saw Brendan as Mrs Brown was actually the first time we did it live on-stage because we didn’t have time to do a full dress rehearsal.
“So the first time I actually saw him a Mrs Brown was when he rounded the top of the stairs and I was, ok let's go on.

“It was a bit of a shock.”

But it was the next question which caused quite a stir as Naga got involved.

He question forced Brendan to step in and give her a warning.

Naga asked Jenninfer: “Had you seen him dressed up as a woman before?”

Jennifer was quick to respond: “Never Naga.”

Brendan chipped in: “That’s a very dangerous question Naga", she quickly replied: “Well do you know what? As I asked it, I wished I hadn't.”

Mrs Brown's Boys festive special will air on Christmas Day on BBC One at 10.30pm
