Ma Vegas a star after appearing in Saturday's All Round to Mrs Brown's

AUDIENCES across the country fell in love with St Helens treasure Ma Vegas on Saturday when she starred on All Round to Mrs Brown’s with her son Johnny Vegas.

Thatto Heath comedian and actor Johnny, whose real name is Michael Pennington, appeared on the BBC One spin off show of Mrs Brown’s Boys alongside his mum Pat Pennington and sports presenter Clare Balding.

The cheeky pair had everyone in fits of laughter during the show where Pat announced she “can’t stand” Johnny’s stand up because “it’s filthy” before announcing that “I watch yours more than I watch his” to host Mrs Brown aka Brendan O’Carroll.”
She said: “I can’t stand your stand up, it’s filthy.”

Johnny replied: “It’s not filthy it’s just a different take on looking at life."

To which Ma Vegas replied: Well it’s not my kind of life,” before adding that “he’s lovely with his acting” and revealing that he takes all of his nieces and nephews away on holiday saying “he can be nice sometimes”.

She later sat down for a heart to heart with Mrs Brown where he asked her about when Johnny was to become a priest.

She said: “It was awful, I didn’t like it even though he was only 11.

“One lad kept pinching his food so one day he stabbed him.”

This was met with raucous laughter from the studio audience and Johnny marching into the kitchen adding: “I didn’t stab him, he came to nick sausages and I put a fork in his hand, you’re making it sound like Oz.”
